Sedation Dentistry in OKC
leave anxiety at the door
Sedation dentistry is the solution for many of our patients who experience great anxiety at dental appointments. Anxiety is a very real emotion, and we take it very seriously.
That’s why our team takes your comfort very seriously, and we try to recognize as well as take care of your needs as or before they occur.
Levels of Sedation:
Oral Conscious Sedation
Experience stress-less and pain-less dentistry
Oral conscious sedation includes a prescription for a specific medication
Easy to take pill before appointment
Mild side effects allow the patient to relax fully for a few hours
**We find that oral medication is the least predictable of our three options because we can only estimate how long the sedative will remain effective and how profound it will be.
Nitrous Oxide Sedation
Effects of nitrous are very pleasant and great for patients with mild to moderate dental anxiety
So safe and effective that it can even be used for children
Comfortable/easy to wear nasal mask
Patients may safely drive home after dental visits
General Sedation
Incredible way to control pain
The deepest level of sedation available
Very, very safe application
Ambulatory anesthesia unit used for deployment
Same technology in treatment as outpatient or hospital setting
Very low levels of nausea post treatment
IV sedation
Ideal for patients who want to go to sleep and wake up and it’s done
Great for undergoing treatment such as wisdom teeth removal
Complete several procedures in a single visit
Administered by an experienced dental anesthesiologist
Post Treatment
Following treatment with oral conscious sedation or IV sedation, there is typically little recollection of treatment. We recommend that patients are driven to and from our Oklahoma City Dental office by a trusted friend or family member and the patient remain supervised for the remainder of the day, while the effects of sedation wear off.
Sedation dentistry will change the way you feel about going to the dentist. For more information about our services, or to schedule a consultation, call (405)-751-4556.

Unfortunately, we are not accepting SoonerCare patients at this time.
Like any treatment, there isn’t a one size fits all treatment plan. Every patient’s needs are different, and planning a dental implant case is certainly no simple task. We welcome you to come in for a complimentary dental implants consultation whereafter we will be able to provide you with a customized treatment plan along with an estimate of costs.
We gladly see child patients! Dr. Bockus loves seeing our younger patients and has a special interest in pediatric dentistry. Our practice is designed to support your family from 1 to 100 years of age.
